Thanks for taking time to review and leave feedback @dongjoon-hyun and @zhengruifeng Reasons why I thought of this more as a bug and less as an improvement: - Actually I ran into this issue as a bug while handing a migration from classic to connect. - Combined with the factor that the [issue](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-50126) in 3.5.x was filed as a bug. However I do see the point that this might be also perceived as an improvement in which case backporting this might be against our community's policy.
