Hmm, that's not the outcome I was hoping for…
But when reading the changelog entry for 32, I (re-)discovered the
option --new-file, which makes this work:
$ diffoscope --new-file /nonexistent archive.zip
--- /nonexistent
+++ archive.zip
├── zipinfo {}
│ @@ -0,0 +1,3 @@
│ +Zip file size: 199 bytes, number of entries: 1
│ +-rw-r--r-- 3.0 unx 13 tx stor 21-Aug-22 17:00 etc/debian_version
