the stack in question is: * kephal * xrandr * x.org it apparently only happens with some x.org versions / drivers, and has some relation to what kephal is doing in response to xrandr or triggering in xrandr. whether it's a bug in kephal or xrandr or the x.org driver in question is, at least to me, unknown. obviously, having a system that exhibits the problem would probably be the first step to debugging it. getting information from the reporters would be second best. i've made a new comment on the bug asking for such information. btw, how is this bug a blocker when it's been in previous releases? -- Aaron J.
