@joselaurian Yes you are right, the card reader is supported by the kernel v2.6.37-rc6. You do not need to install the driver if you are using kernel v2.6.37-rc6.
As I understand it Ubuntu 11.04 will include kernel v2.6.37, but is not public available, but one could install the kernel v2.6.37-rc6 manually. Just try it yourself, there is no risk and it's not difficult.
