Speaking as co-Chair, this is a reminder that two interim meetings were
discussed at our last meeting at IETF119.

The most attention was given to having a meeting to review and identify the
problem or problems we are seeking to solve with the following three documents.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-regext-rdap-versioning/
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-regext-rdap-extensions/
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-regext-rdap-x-media-type/

The co-Chairs have committed to organizing this interim meeting.
Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to coordinate a time for this meeting between
ourselves.

The other meeting was to be a joint meeting with ICANN’s registry and registrar
technical operations group. Meeting with this group is an opportunity to
discuss our working documents and other technical issues with a broad set of
primarily gTLD registry and registrar technical folks. We have done this
before and it has always been a valuable experience providing valuable insights
for us to consider in our work.

What we have done in the past and we are planning to do again is join a meeting
of Technical Operations group taking place at the next ICANN Contracted Party
Summit. This Summit is scheduled for 6-9 May 2024. Here is a link for details
about this meeting: https://www.icann.org/cpsummit.

On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, the Technical Operations group has allocated 1 hour and
45 minutes from 0845-1030 UTC for a joint meeting with the REGEXT working group.

The draft agenda I am proposing for this meeting includes the following:

        IDNs
        EAI
        TTLs

There will be more to say about why I propose this agenda in a separate
message, including an opportunity to agenda bash.

As we have done in the past, we will use the remote service that ICANN provides
to support this meeting, which means it will be a Zoom meeting not a Meetecho
meeting. Anyone will be able to join this meeting; you will not have to
register for the CPS to join the meeting, although you are certainly welcome to
do so if you find other sessions of interest (see full agenda details and a
registration link on the information page linked above).

If you have any questions or comments about this please do respond to this
message.

Thank you!

Jim
