Gavin,

Thank you for publishing a new version of the draft. I have the following
feedback:

  1. Shouldn’t the track be Standards Track instead of Experimental since this
seems very straight forward?
  2. Shouldn’t the A and AAAA TTL apply to the Host object instead of the
Domain Name object if using the host objects model? If so, it may make sense
to have the extension extend both the Domain Name Object (RFC 5731) and the
Host Object (RFC 5732)? The A and AAAA TTL would apply to Domain Name Object
when using the host attributes model and the A and AAAA TTL would apply to the
Host Object when using the host objects model.
  3. For notifying about out-of-band changes, I like the reference to the use
of the EPP Change Poll Extension (RFC 8590); although I’m not sure what it
means to have the “EPP message queue and/or” language there. My recommendation
is to just reference the EPP Change Poll Extension for implementing the
out-of-band change.

Thanks,

Subject: [EXTERNAL] [regext] Fwd: New Version Notification for
draft-regext-brown-epp-ttl-01.txt

Greetings all,

Many years ago CentralNic had a proprietary EPP extension for managing the TTL
values of domain names.

After the Philadelphia IETF meeting, I was contacted by some WG members about
reviving this extension for possible adoption.

So I created a new I-D to describe the extension and submitted it to the Data
Tracker, but didn't do much else.

However I've had a bit of feedback about the draft since then, so I've just
published a new version and am now sharing it with the WG for feedback.

Thanks,

Gavin.
