Sarah,

In RH there is a system service GUI program or you can
use a console, become super user, type in setup (a
menu driven program pops up), highlight system
services, and look for sendmail from there. These 2
methods should make it start on boot. 

Since you didn't state how Linux friendly you are
those are a couple of the simplest methods. You may
also start it vi command line, edit some scripts, etc.

Question, do you really need it running?
