I am running redhat 7.2 and when i launch a program, i have this error message : "Host name lookup failure".
What does it mean?
it means that the program tries to resolve a name to an ip (or vice versa) and failed. Without naming the program it's quite difficult to assist but normally this is caused by starting programs without checking the config first or not defining a name server for lookups.
