True, but as I said, the type of program to use to stress the system
will depend on the component you want to stress. A Fib. seq. will not
stress the FPU, but the CPU will still be used to 100% (or very close).

IMO, benchmarks are designed to meassure performance, so system
stressing is just a "side effect". And by designing your own stressing
tools, you will have better control over which components get stressed,
how they are stressed, and, if you need to, how MUCH they are. In this
same vein, a benchmark will allways stress the system as much as it can,
because it's purpose it to meassure performance and not to stress the
system.
