You can also cat /proc/scsi/scsi which will show all of your SCSI devices. Tape drives show up with a type of "Sequential-Access" as you can see from the example below. If you have only one tape drive on your system, it will be "st0" as mentioned elsewhere. If you have multiple drives, they will be enumerated in the order they show up in this pseudo file.
