a) Maybe a stupid question, but did you install the telnet-server?
#> rpm -qa| grep telnet
b) Are you using the RedHat 'default firewall'? If so, check if your
firewall isn't blocking port 23.
#> iptables -L
If it's blocking port 23 (if you're using 'high' settings, it will
block port 23) - run 'lockit' and customize the firewall.
#> lockit
