Here's a short summary of my problem: I have recently intsalled RH 8.0 on a rig that has an inbuilt AC '97 and a Creative Labs Ensoniq PCI sounds cards. Everything works fine, the Sound Card Detector found both cards and was able to playback the test; all the OS beeps and rings work whenever prompted. The only problem is that every time I try to play an mp3 file or an audio cd/wav files, the Konqueror window shut down, the mp3 player refuses to play the file and the cd player lags intensively whenever directed at the audio cd. So, could someone either give me a link to a solution, or point me to another email (hopefully with a link or the e-mail's title and author). Any help would be appreciated. Also, the current drivers for both cards are the following: Ensoniq - ES 1371; AC '97 - via82cxxx_audio.
