given that (as far as i can tell) programs like "cdrecord" and "cdparanoia" access the ATAPI cd drive through the SCSI device files /dev/sg<something>, wouldn't it make sense to add these device files to /etc/security/console.perms so that the single user would own these files as well and could run those programs directly?
