I appreciate your response, but being new to RH, I really do not know
what you are telling me.

My nic is a Linksys 10/100 PCMPC100 PCMCIA card.

You say you are using (null) and that Linksys uses the prism2 module ?
Can you elaborate on those 2 items please ?

I have used a WPC11 card since Redhat 7.1. I am using (null) right now.
The linksys card uses the prism2 module. I did notice, however that the
wireless config option in 'neat' was removed. That was remedied in 8.0.
All of the installs I did for 7.3 though, detected and installed my card
flawlessly.

Subject: Lynksys PCMCIA support ?

Just recently installed 7.3 on my Toshiba Satellite 4015CDT
with only a bit more difficulty that Suse Linux 8.0.

One glaring difference is that RH does not seem to support any hardware
from Linksys (i.e. Pcmcia Ethercard).

Do I have to buy a new card just because of RH ?
Everyone,:-) else supports this vendor.
Is there not some way of trying to use this card ?

The pcmcia services are running OK.

TIA

Kim
