Thanks. I had to roll back the entire server installation, but will
proceed with it again tomorrow morning. I will then try your suggestion.
There is another point I missed to mention in my first post. This is the
first server we install with ext3 instead of ext2 (though tomorrows
upgrade will proceed with ext2). Is it possible that this has anything
to do with this issue?  Also, is this bug reported in bugzilla?
