Subject: hostname

| Can somebody help me with setting the hostname on my laptop workstation
| installation running RH7.3.
|
| Currently my email headers have the something like "received: from
| localhost.localdomain" and I would like that to be something a bit more
| meaningful. What do I have to setup?
|
| >From what I can find on the net I think that I have to create a file in
/etc
| called "hostname" and put my chosen hostname in there, and then edit the
| /etc/host file.
|
| Is this correct?
| Will it cause problems?
|
| Any advice appreciated
