Can somebody point in the right direction to configure the hostname for my laptop workstation installation.
At the moment the email headers from that machine show something like "received: from localhost.localdomain" I would like to change this to something more meaningful. From what I can read on the net I need to create a file called /etc/hostname and put my chosen name in this. and then edit /etc/hosts to include my new name as localhost. Am I on the right path? Is this correct for RH7.3? Will it cause any problems? Is there a better way to do it?
