The topic you're asking about is quite a weighty as you, no doubt, are finding out. One bit of advice I'd provide from my experience with Netbackup and being responsible for a corporate datacenter as welll as a corporate IT infrastructure. As simple as it sounds, please ask the question, "what is the reason/purpose for backing up". I've found over the two years since I took this on, the original justification was not well thought out or more likely implemented. Once you answer that question, then you can narrow down how much disk space you will be managing (backing up) and how long you will need to archive backup images and the need (or not) for offsite storage. DLT is a good format to choose. Decent size to work with (physical), good capacity, drive technology seems to be robust. _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
