If you install the rpmdb-redhat package, you can use the --redhatprovides flag to query uninstalled packages. The format is: $ rpm -q --redhatprovides libkdecore.so.4 kdelibs-3.0.0-10 It would be easier to sign up for Red Hat network, and use up2date to automate the dependency nightmare this project is going to involve, though. ;) Or look on your install media for the file RedHat/base/comps, and look at the XFree and KDE sections of that file to see the packages the installer would have loaded. - -- - -Michael pgp key: http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/gpgkey.txt Red Hat Linux 7.2 in 8M of RAM: http://www.rule-project.org/ - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAj0HQZQACgkQn/07WoAb/StPggCeJSg0KRiru8qnr+3DLzXTpbuN 6RQAn0m8o3eFQvpS2SVMZXBIh0HjPGI3 =laCf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
