If you install the rpmdb-redhat package, you can use the --redhatprovides 
flag to query uninstalled packages.

The format is:
$ rpm -q --redhatprovides libkdecore.so.4
kdelibs-3.0.0-10

It would be easier to sign up for Red Hat network, and use up2date to 
automate the dependency nightmare this project is going to involve, 
though. ;)

Or look on your install media for the file RedHat/base/comps, and look at 
the XFree and KDE sections of that file to see the packages the installer 
would have loaded.
