Greetingage: Anyone besides me having probs getting wu-ftpd to behave nicely and report back actual usernames and groups instead of the raw IDs? (presently using 7.2 -- I recollect first noticing it around 6.2).
I haven't seen anything out there that would indicate anyone else is experiencing this problem, but it can't just be me. I've never had any woes using the native ftpd on BSD/Solaris. Matter of fact I've got 30+ Solaris boxes and anon-ftp works just fine (ie: reports root/bin as the owner of /lib instead of 1/7). I seem to recall the dist that came with RH6.0 working just fine too... Anon tree is setup correctly, appropriate binaries are in bin, libraries in lib, trimmed down passwd/grp files... I *think* the breakage coincided with implementation of "shadow". Not earthshattering by any means -- just thought I'd ask around.
