Hi...
I have try to use my printers, but they don't work... I have a Epson Fx1050
(mi house) and a HP LaserJet 6L (dad's printer)... I know that I'm a rockie
in Linux (i'm using RH7.2) but I download all the erratas but It still
doesn't work

When I install my RedHat7.2 all looks fine; but when I try to print some
document in any app... this prints with garbage and so bad; then someone
(thanks) in this list, say me that there are some errata about printers... I
download all the erratas (foomatic, ghostscript, omni, omni-foomatic,
printconf, printconf-gui), later use rpm -Fvh and rpm -Uvh in omni* because
they wasn't installed ... everything looks fine, but when I try to print
again it prints only a single line and doesn't work and I have to turn off my
printer

  I use the driver: EPSON/Dot_matrix/eps9high
  with "lpstat -t" I receive:
        scheduler is running
        system default destination: fx1050
printer fx1050 unknown state. enabled since abr 07 12:53 2002. available
        Printer: fx1050@localhost
Queue: no printable jobs in queue
  the "/etc/printcap" has:
        fx1050:\
                :ml=0:\
                :mx=0:\
                :sd=/var/spool/lpd/fx1050:\
                :af=/var/spool/lpd/fx1050/fx1050.acct:\
                :sh:\
                :lp=/dev/lp0:\
                :lpd_bounce=true:\
                :if=/usr/share/printconf/util/mf_wrapper:

I suposse that other had my problem ---> Please tell what do I do?? How do
I configure my printer?? Do I need change some package?? --> I can't print
anything

thanks,
  Pepo
