To ensure that you've got good 3D and OpenGL support, run a program like
Tux Racer.  If it's smooth, you've got it covered.  If it takes *forever* to
do anything, you're not quite perfect yet.

This probably wrapped, but all I did was go to Google and search for the error
messages.  Google is your friend (and it should make you feel better that it's
Linux based).
