OK, here is my partial HW/SW config.... Running RH 7.2
The system has 2 USB hubs. Both have a Logitech Quickcam attached. I also have a SoundBlaster card in one PCI slot. The problem I have is that on a reboot sometimes I get sound...and sometimes not. In order to get sound back I'll have to disconnect the Quickcams, unload the es1371 module and then install it again. Then I could get sound back. On top of that, sometimes camera A gets /dev/video0 and sometimes it get /dev/video1. What I'd like to achieve is a way to set things up so that upon reboot I have sound, camera A is assigned video0, and camera B is assigned video1. I get the feeling the solution somehow lies in the modules.conf file. But, I'll be darned if I can figure it out. "man modules.conf" didn't help my brain any.
