It seems that putty, winscp, etc do not work with ssh2 - at least I've had
no luck. When they try to turn on their scp GUI's, they just die - same
with SSH's client. I tried making various changes, but to no avail.

SSH's client wants to use scp2 when it is in ssh2 mode. I could not find an
rpm that had a copy of scp2 in it. Well, that's a lie - there was an older
version of ssh that seemed to include scp2, but I didn't want to downgrade.

That said, I settled for downloads SSH's newest rpm for sshd2 and installed
that on the machine. issued sshd stop, sshd2 start, and the SSH client was
immediately able to start file transfers.

I have managed to get it to work... It requires me to use SSH's windows
client, as well as installing their SSH2 daemons on my machine.

Burke, Thomas G.,

On Tuesday 29 January 2002 12:29, you said something about:

Did you try this one? It has always worked well for me and even clients can
handle it. ;)
