What is your partition layout like?
Here's a few things. Check /var/tmp, and /usr/tmp. To extra tmp directories, that should really be pointing to /tmp, but don't. Logs. Clear out /var/log/*.{1,2,3,4} That's just for immediate recovery. Something that would help immensely would be to put /usr on a separate partition. /usr probably takes up AT LEAST >800Megs depending your install. Throw /usr on a separate partition (thus taking it off of /), and your space problems are solved. -Rob > > It's a working server and the users conections made > the /tmp grows a huge. > > Im booting in character base mode. may I uninstall or > delete the files of graphical mode or maybe some > other file that i don't need anymore. > > give me some ideas. every morning I have to : > ~ cd /tmp > ~ rm -f * > .. > ~ cd /var/log > ~ for i in * > > do > > cat /dev/null > $i > > done > > _______________________________________________ > Redhat-list mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list > -- -Rob _______________________________________________ Redhat-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
