This is the second time I have put forth this question....plese someone help me out
Hello everyone,
Hope you can help me out with this problem.I am trying to compile a 2.4.2-2 kernel.While everything goes successful upto make modules_install....however on running mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.4.2-2amit.img 2.4.2-2amit" I get an error stating "All of your loopback devices are in use" and the entire network ...even on the other compiled version stops working.I am not upgrading.....the above is being done on 2.4.2-2 itself.
What could be the cause of the error...and how can I get rid of it
