also i'm only able to boot ( above message is my original i had in
drafts ) 2.2.16-22 ..even 2.4.3 via floppy says forget it aws well.i've
never had these kinds of issues before on previous install...is it
possible that my HD is failing...
i've noticed on occasion here recently that computer hangs in dos
sometimes after i've typed
edit linux.bat
sits there "thinking" about it then finally loads SEVERAL seconds
later...and geez :) the other day my dos system hung completely while
inside edit...hmmm
called micron they just had me do scandisk..no errors..anyway i'm
watching this carefully but if anyone knows that these
are? signs of whats affecting me in linux as in possible HD failure
coming on...only thing at this point that makes sense unless linux
issues are somehow related to gnome 1.4 beta/red carpet ?
also now netscape "inbox" won't display "sender" but all other mail
folders seem fine....so maybe indeed i do have hd failure coming on
unless this netscape inbox thing is a known issue......
