At the exact same time, and the exact same amount of data?? Mind you, my
logs grow rather large, but they vary in sizes from week to week, so I can't see
it happening because of a particular log staying open (the filehandler that
is). If that was the case, it would be a different size each week. And how do
you explain it happening at exactly 9:45 every monday morning, over five hours
after logrotate ran. None of my logging facilities get restarted at that hour
(they all get restarted at 4am when the logs get rotated). In fact, no service
gets restarted (or started) at that hour.
