Hi All,
It is incredible the attitude of Red Hat, - and this is not the first
time I have experienced the same attitude:
They are packing in a Linux version - say like 7.0 - and this goes back
to first when I started with 5.1 - I have soon spent more money on RH
upgrades than I did when I was running Windows NT.
If you bought the standard - you new what kind of second hand help you
where entitle too. If you bought the premium package your license would
last a bit longer.
However, If you called on something that was outside the basic
installation - you where not entitle to any assistance. Fair enough -
that's what it will cover.
There is not many here that buys a RH Linux if they know what they have
to do - most of them either works for corporation with a lot of
resources, or they try to compile something for free.
If you go all the way and spend the money on a premium package - it is
because you like to have the goodies that comes with it.
Well, Red hat is the responsible for many tweaking on programs that
comes with the CD's - However if you have an issue they refuse to attend
to it - not included in the support they say.
Worse though - they do not even answered you when you are hopeless lost.
This is very different from the attention and help I have received from
the parallel programs I have bought from SUSE. (Starting thinking back
to M$ - they where not very much different from RH)
Due to RH faults when tweaking - their own design does not even work
anymore; - I do not really understand any IT Manager that would bet the
company's money of trusting this vendor.
I'm really pissed off with RH.
