RH7.0 was released around 9/25/2000. It will be 6 months old in under 2
weeks.
For those doing conspiratorial calculations, the beta for RH7.0 was released
around 7/31/2000 and the beta for RH7.1 was released around 1/31/2001 (6
months to the day, using /. articles for dates.) This would indicate the
*earliest* expected release for RH7.1 would be 3/25/2001. (OK, that's a
Sunday, so make it 3/26 to make it a Monday.) That's based on Fisher,
though. If we base it on Wolverine, the date would push out further.
Given the rep that 7.0 had when it released, I wouldn't be surprised if RH
has a longer beta period for 7.1 than for 7.0. Frankly, I'd rather wait
for "when it's ready" than "when some doofus on the redhat-list calculated
it should be out" ANY DAY. :-)

Not a Red Hat employee, I have no inside info. Don't base anything on
what I've said above, it's sheer fantasy calculation. For all I know,
RH will make a business decision to postpone the launch for any number
of reasons. If you ignore this and you suffer, it's YOUR FAULT, not mine.
