Hello All,

I've got a box here, redhat 5.2 with all the errata, and a 2.2.18
kernel but seems to be confused about it's time. For the last 2 days it has
been more or less randomly jumping the system clock forward 10 hours. This
makes me think it must be someone sort of time zone confusion becuase it's
set to be 10 hours ahead of GMT - so maybe for some reason (?!?) it trying
to 'correct' itself thinking it is GMT so spinning on another 10 hours.

But I can't for the life of me find where these time changes might
be coming from. :/ Even turning on ps accounting didn't show anything
useful which suggests it is a long running process that is responsible.

That's a moderatly abysmal attempt at explaining what I'm after so
I'm not expecting much - but if you've seen something like this or know what
might be going on I'd love to hear form you.

"* * * * * rdate -s ntp" is not a solution. :)

M.

P.S. It was about a fortnight ago that the errata was installed so an
update in glibc would seem the sort of thing I should be looking for but why
the delayed effect?
