Greetings all, I'm experiencing a strange (and annoying) problem running samba on my 6.2 server. After just about every Win '9x network login, I see the message: "Reloading services after SIGHUP" in the corresponding PC's /var/log/samba/log.PCNAME file. Access to network drives works, for the most part, but I also seem to be getting a lot more of these type of messages: request_oplock_break: no response received to oplock break request to pid 3915 on port 1618 for dev = 901, inode = a3ae4 get_share_modes: process 3915 no longer exists get_share_modes: file with dev 2305 inode 670436 empty get_share_modes: process 3915 no longer exists get_share_modes: file with dev 2305 inode 458442 empty which tends to throw my windows clients into a panic. I'm not entirely sure when the problem began other than things were ok (AFAIK) before upgrading from 5.2 to 6.2, which was some time ago. I'm currently running samba-1.9.18p10-52.4 because the samba-2.x series seems to be worse as far as oplock breaks are concerned. Unfortunately I haven't been able to duplicate the problem on another server and I'm not sure where else to look. One server has similar hardware to the one with the problem and the other is totally different. The only other thing I can think of at the moment would be something "leftover" from the 5.2 -> 6.2 upgrade. Both of the other servers were clean 6.2 installs. I suppose it could be hardware but other things seem to be working just fine. Any help would be most appreciated as I'm getting tired of beating my head against this particular problem. :-( -Eric Eric Sisler Library Computer Technician Westminster Public Library Westminster, CO, USA [EMAIL PROTECTED] Linux - don't fear the Penguin.
