Well, let me tell you this: If you compare these two lines from /etc/fstab, I
must say I find the first line more informative than the second :) :
/dev/hda2 / ext2 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/ / ext2 defaults 1 1
But then, maybe I should just comment my /etc/fstab. On the other hand, did
you ever try to install lets say a system with a small (second) rescue
partition? Can you tell me which partition gets mounted as / ? I haven't seen
an option to edit these labels during installation.
