I run RH6.0 and have bought a SCSI CD writer (with adapter card obviously)
to add to my existing ATAPI-IDE cdrom. I've recompiled my kernel (now
2.2.18) with scsi support, scsi cd support (as sg module) and ide-scsi
emulation. The kernel detects a SCSI device on boot. Both these modules
load ok with insmod. I installed cdrecord OK and read and carried out the
quickstart instructions on the CDwriter howto. I have dev/sg0-8. cdrecord
-scanbus does not detect any scsi devices at all. I can find no way of
mounting my new CDwiter.

What I want to do is set up permenant scsi emualation for the ATAPI-IDE
cdrom and set up the CD-writer. Whats wrong- can anyone guide me? P.S.
the CD-writer works fine in the other operating system (but the software
looks better in linux). Ta. NH.
