Getting From RedHat

Hi;

I thought the following commands (as root) would set up an interactive 
session with RedHat:
 >>>
# cd /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386
# ncftp ftp://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/redhat-6.2/i386/RedHat/RPMS/> get *
<<<
Instead, my computer hangs. Why?
