X3.3.6 to X4.0.2

im looking for recommendations on upgrading from x3.3.6 to x4.0.2.
should i get the rpms from rh rawhide or the tars from xfree86.org? im
running 6.2 and have a brand new palit daytona nvidia tnt2 32m vid card.
i also do not have glibc2.2.
