It's easy to get the packages and upgrade them piece by piece
(usually, unless we've just upgraded rpm, libc or something
similar) which is what most people want.

The stable branch is "latest Red Hat Linux release", to which we also
add updates etc. 

Unstable is Rawhide, which usually becomes rather unstable some time
after a release (depending on what we change...), and then stabilizes
through betas (mostly nonpublic, semi-internal ones but usually one
public as well) through to the released version.
