On Sat, 27 Jan 2001, Michael Jinks spewed into the bitstream:

MJ>Since upgrading to Red Hat 7 and kernel 2.4, my OpenGL games have
MJ>stopped working. I don't know whether to blame XFree86, the kernel,
MJ>both, something else...
MJ>
MJ>The docs I've been able to find from 3Dfx are looking out of date, with
MJ>no real info on XFree 4, DRI (other than calling them "developer only"
MJ>topics), or Linux 2.4. And with 3Dfx being swallowed up, I'm wondering
MJ>if I may be out of luck.
MJ>
MJ>One of the games I'm having trouble with is Myth2; Loki Games recommend
MJ>what looks like a beta development version of the Glide libraries for
MJ>use with RH7 (Glide3-20000823-1.i386.rpm and the corresponding devel
MJ>package), and last I checked I couldn't find a newer package, but
MJ>something is still missing. Myth runs, but doesn't display anything
MJ>past the splash screen successfully, I just get a black display with a
MJ>mouse pointer.

I have a Rage 128 and games don't work for me either anymore.
