I've considered squid, even installed it but I have a few
challenges/questions. I'm running this on fairly low-end machines. I don't
need caching, just for the server to redirect port 80 requests through a
separate content filtering proxy.
Has anyone tried to do this via ipchains? The machines are acting as
router/firewalls for internal networks and are redirecting external port 80
requests to an internal webserver. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Plus squidguard (www.squidguard.org) for content filtering with squid.
I use it and am very happy with it. Why pay for proprietary "no no"
lists?
