Yea I got mosix up and running. I was searching for a cluster type for
an application we run here at work and looked at Mosix, unfortunately it
did not fit our needs but I got it up. Everything that you read about
it says, "Just install the RPMs and you are ready to go". Well sorry to
say that DID NOT work for me. Every time I would "just install the
RPMs" I would get a kernel panic on reboot. SO if you are going to look
at Mosix first just get the tar ball and don't mess with the RPMs and
second get prepared for not too much documentation!!

And whatever you do in your quest for a cluster, DO NOT buy the O'reilly
book "Building Linux Clusters"!!!! It is not worth the paper that it is
printed on. They are working on a 2nd edition and maybe it will be
better then. The CD that comes with the book is worthless, the scripts
that are supposed to setup the cluster and maintain it through a web
interface are missing all of the logic to them.. They are not even
close to working! It was an extremely frustrating expierence to say the
least.

Well that is my two cents.
