You should be able to set your host name with linuxconf or manually in
the /etc/sysconfig/network file. You should be able also to do this
from the NT dchp server.
as for name resolution it depends on how the machines that will be
accessing the box get their name resolution. If DNS, then the name and
ipaddress needs to be added to the DNS server's database. This will
require an ipaddress that will not change, so some work on the dhcp
server is probably required to establish a static ip for the box. If
all machines that access the mailserver are windows boxes there is
probably a way to do this with WINS, but it really depends on how the
windows network is setup.
If you don't admister the NT network, and I sounds like you do not, then
you sill need ot get with the network guys/gals and see how they do
these things on your network.
