okie and thanks ......I just wound up using cfdisk which worked nicely having
nice straight forward gui....

i just created new partition from "free space" which i knew i had because total
weren't jiving......did that and mounted in /morespace
in minor 3.. now i have some more breathing room which i need as I gradually make
the conversion from windows......
