sorry I should have been much more specific..
I "ran" Xconfigurator from linux 3 ,,while i set the settings and the "test"
worked fine,,,,,,,when I tried
gdm
i still got that purplish? dark screen and its locks up...........

maybe i should try again or just delete old one entirely? and start
over........

for now i'm in windows.....

i appreciate the quick response :)
