Does anyone know how to do a screen clear before the login prompt is
displayed during an initial bootup? I have configured my machines to
operate off of the serial port as the console. The only problem that I
have found is that the machine displays the login prompt on top of the
kernel boot messages. I have tried adding a script to /etc/rc.d/rc3.d
with the "clear" command and that did not do it.
Any ideas? I know this is not that big of an issue, but the users I
support will be all confused I have a feeling.
