I would say dhcpcd (dhcpd is the server daemon), but that is because I
couldn't get pump to work with my ISP (talking about RH 6.2). Tried to get it
to work for an hour or two, no results, so I decided to try dhcpcd, which
worked instantly for me. Note that I had to change the startup scripts
slightly to use dhcpcd where it normally uses pump (ie /etc/sysconfig/network-
scripts/ifup (= /sbin/ifup), and /etc/rc.d/init.d/network to remove the PID
file at shutdown (could have used ifdown here I guess)).
So I guess you could give pump a try, since it's the default this might save
you some editing. But if you can't get it to work easily, drop it and try
dhcpcd.
Bye,
Leonard.
