Hm, something just crossed my mind: What Red Hat version do you use? 6.x
or 7.0? I'm using 6.2, which has a different glibc from 7.0. Could that
be a problem (or is there a RHL 7.0 specific version of StarOffice 5.2?)

Also, out of interest: Did you do a network install or a straight local
install?
