Are you using Red Hat 7.0?
Are you downloading all the RPMs first and running the installer looking at
your harddrive and NOT over the Internet like so:
./installer-rpm4-intel -d .
I've done it 5 or 6 times and it hasn't worked. I've installed HelixGnome
under RH6.2 this way without problems, it's only RH7.0 I am having problems
with.
After 2.5 hours I had to kill the installer as it had chewed up over 250Mb of
memory and had taken all my memory and swap!!!!! After killing the installer
all the memory came back and the CPU went back to 0% usage.
The installer seems to be looping and using CPU and memory.
