That modem is just a bridge. It does not have interfaces the way DSL
routers do. Unless they are doing something radically new. The address
is just to access internal configuration options like VPI/VCI. BTW,
these modems can be ordered with various options turned on/off,
including the internal configuration. Maybe that has been done in your
case. ???

Are you saying eth0 is assigned 10.10.x.x address by the ISP? Or are
you assigning that to your NIC in order to access the modem?
