First, thanks for the reply!

I think maybe I'm addressing the wrong issue...

One is a program with a MAKE file, the other is a NIC driver using "gcc 
-DMODULE (rest of command line here)".  Both will compile and run on 6.2 but 
not on 7.0, even with the Redhat glibc patch and all of the compat libraries 
I could find.

If not GCC, then what other difference would cause this?
