It looks hella cool though. I'm glads it works. Did you pick up the additional SSH support for Tera Term? It works great too and I find it a complete replacement for telnet. Just grab the zlib, openssl, and openssh RPMs from Germany or somewhere and you'll have encrypted sessions running in five minutes. As an added bonus you can (using the default config, and I know some may see this as risky) log in as root directly to run Linuxconf. Also, it bears repeating: Jason is exactly right about the Windows telnet client; it is the worse junk imaginable, just really awful.
